We understand that you may have questions about our app, so we've put together this overview to address your concerns.

We want our users to find Melo as easy to use as possible. For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings
- zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of Melo using a keyboard or speech recognition software
- listen to most of Melo using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We are eager and happy to help verify and fix any bugs - we take pride in it! Create an issue by contacting support@decently.co.uk, providing as much information as you can about how to replicate the problem you're experiencing. We'll try to replicate the bug to verify, and if successful lodge the report for you. We'll also try to construct workarounds if possible.
Whilst we are only a small team, then we will seek to fix the most critical bugs affecting the widest set of users first. Bugs are triaged and prioritised (highest to low) based on the impact to users /patients.

Melo has been co-designed and clinically validated to help healthcare teams make informed decisions about a patients' behaviours and provide a range of features and tools to support an evidenced based decision making approach.

Melo includes a clinical calculator (the Agitated Behaviour Scale) to assist users in making informed health-related calculations.

At Melo, we recognise the profound responsibility that comes with handling patient data. Misuse or mishandling of such data can lead to significant risks, including:
Misdiagnosis or Delayed Treatment: Incorrect or incomplete data can result in inappropriate clinical decisions.
Privacy Breaches: Unauthorised access to sensitive information can compromise patient confidentiality.
Erosion of Trust: Patients may lose confidence in digital health solutions if their data is not managed responsibly.
To mitigate these risks, we place clinical safety at the forefront of our operations. We adhere to the DCB0129 clinical risk management standard, as mandated by the Health and Social Care Act 2012.
This standard outlines the necessary processes for manufacturers of health IT systems to identify, assess, and manage potential clinical risks associated with their products.

Melo is free at the point of care. We are funded through a combination of organisational level licence and implementation agreements.

Melo collects patient data, but rest assured, we prioritise user privacy and follow strict data protection regulations (eg, DTAC). Your data is handled securely, and you have control over what information you share.
We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under age 18, please contact us at support@decently.co.uk

Melo is not classed as a medical device but serves as a clinical decision support tool (in line with MHRA guidelines).
This position has been verified with a number of organisations in the last 6 months - including ORCHA & Liverpool University Hospitals Group.

Melo does not currently send push or email notifications. If these were to be introduced in the future we would ensure they are customisable to suit your preferences.
