What Melo would change
Where Melo could fit into the workflow, from recording observations to reviewing patterns and sharing evidence.
Whether a trial makes sense
We’ll also tell you if Melo isn’t a good fit. Better to know that before you spend two weeks testing it.

What teams ask first
-
It’s a short set-up call. You’ll spend 15 minutes with one of Melo’s cofounders, then get access to Melo for 14 days. There’s no card to enter and nothing to sign.
-
A working version of Melo with invented patients and several weeks of history already loaded. You can add observations, look through the graphs and care tips, and generate a report. No real patient data goes into the trial.
-
Not for the trial itself. It uses invented patients, so no live patient data is involved, and Melo runs in a browser so there’s nothing to install.
If your organisation has its own rules for trying new software, we can provide our assurance information, including DTAC, DCB0129, DSPT, Cyber Essentials and ICO registration. IT and information governance will need to be involved before a live rollout.
-
14 days, counted from the day of your set-up call rather than the day you book it.
-
We’ll ask what you found. If Melo fits, we’ll talk about what a real rollout looks like, what it costs and what your organisation needs from us before it can go ahead. If it doesn’t fit, that’s a useful answer too. Nothing rolls into a contract on its own and there’s nothing for you to cancel.
-
Yes, and we’d encourage it. Melo is designed to bring observations from different staff together, so the trial is more useful when a few people take part. Mention it on the call and we’ll set up extra logins.
-
Yes. Melo runs in a browser, so you can use whatever’s to hand on the ward: phone, tablet or desktop. There’s nothing to install.
-
Nobody. We deal with you, and with anyone you ask us to bring in. If you want to look at Melo before raising it with anyone else in your organisation, you can. We won’t contact colleagues or senior staff unless you ask us to.
-
If you’re partway through a trial, log in here instead of booking another call. If your organisation already uses Melo and you need your own account, speak to the person who manages Melo on your ward or in your organisation. They’ll need to create it for you, as we can’t create individual accounts inside an organisation that’s already using Melo.
